ÓÅÃÛÊÓƵ has earned the Seal of Excelencia, a  bestowed upon a small cohort of institutions.   Designated schools deliver impactful services to students of Latino heritage. 

The start of 2024 Hispanic Heritage Month coincided was preceded by .  Long recognized as an HSI, ÓÅÃÛÊÓƵ hosts campus activities and discussions throughout September and October.  We invite you join us in applauding the accomplishments of our students, as they prepare to make a difference as professional and community leaders.

Concert Under the Stars: Instrumental Music Concert
Thurs, Oct. 10  |  7:30 - 9 pm  | Art Building Exterior Plaza

FREE; NO PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  Bring your family—and a cozy blanket—to an outdoor evening concert showcasing the college's instrumental music program.  In addition to the Mariachi Ensemble, you'll experience the sounds of the Concert Band, Orchestra, Flute Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Ensembles, and ÓÅÃÛÊÓƵ Pan Groove.

Audience members are reminded to bring folding chairs, or a bedspread, for seating.  Organized by ÓÅÃÛÊÓƵ Department of Visual & Performing Arts.

Chispa Arizona & Unlimited Potential

empowers Latino communities to influence policy, protect natural resources, and combat climate change.  The organization aims to ensure that Latino families and leaders have a strong voice in the policies that impact their communities. A short bike ride from ÓÅÃÛÊÓƵ, you can visit them at:  733 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix.  

was founded by parents seeking to improve their literacy and build a better future for themselves and their families.  The group's work has widened to facilitate wellness for over 6,000 families through health workshops, and advocacy for environmental awareness and family unity. They also host community adult education classes, environmental justice programs, a community garden, and a farmer's market.

Edgar Fernandez's artistic journey took a defining turn at ÓÅÃÛÊÓƵ, where his childhood passion for painting was rekindled and deepened. The nurturing environment and inspiring mentors at the college helped Edgar refine his skills and discover his unique voice in contemporary art, setting him on the path to becoming a rising star in the art world.
